LifeLab is a unique, state-of-the-art teaching laboratory dedicated to improving adolescent health by giving school students opportunities to learn first-hand the science behind the health messages.
The LifeLab laboratory opened at Southampton General Hospital in September 2013. It is a purpose built facility with some state of the art equipment not available in schools. It will enable approximately 5,000 students per year to participate in LifeLab education modules.
To provide the city with a centralised platform to offer the opportunity for every child to partake in new adventures. As well as providing a number of physical and mental resources to develop their wellbeing.

Southampton Music Hub
Southampton Music Hub delivers life-changing music for every child in Southampton.
Founded in 2012, Southampton Music Hub is a growing partnership of local, regional and national organisations, working together to build an inspiring and inclusive programme of music making that reflects the cultural diversity of our city. Together we are dedicated to delivering life-changing music experiences that enrich the life, health and well-being of our children and our community through the virtual platform this summer.
Southampton Cultural Educational Services
Our ambition is to host a central focused cultural programme through MAST, city gallery, Sea City Museum and John Hansard Gallery with a full programme of cultural activities for 4 weeks in the summer.
Our approach uses the African arts to explore health, literacy, history and the community. We already work with many of the organisations delivering free food across the Southampton area, it seems to make sense to link our online African food videos to the food freely available in the Southampton region that week.
